My Neighbourhood

Hej,
Have you ever woken up feeling wonderful?? I did this morning, and according to a theory of Edmund, I had got up on the right side of the bed. (because he remarked that I got up on the wrong side when I had a grumpy face)
Anyhow, I decided to snap some pictures of my neighbourhood. This is the view from my living room and it is the front (right and left) side of the building. You notice that the buildings are old and rather low rise. Buildings like these are probably 50 to 60 years old but some are still very well maintained. Last week, the entire street was covered with snow and it looked absolutely beautiful.

Then, this is the view of our backyard, actually our neighbour's backyard, which looks pretty much the same as ours. This is where we throw our trash and we can also go to the block's common laundry area.

Below are pictures of a street called "Nordre Frihavnsgade". There is a school which looks more like a library than a school to me. Then there is a very important and busy crossroad junction called "Trianglen". Cafes, boutiques, bakeries and supermarkets line the street. Cyclists are ubiquitous in Copenhagen; cycling is almost as popular as driving a car as it is more economical (and environmental friendly).

So, that was it. I promise to show you my apartment in my coming post, provided I consider it to be tidy enough. ;-)
Well weekend is here again. Have fun and we shall talk soon.
